Mark Warner Summer 2027 Prices: What the School Holidays Cost (First Look)

Mark Warner has released its summer 2027 beach holidays, and we have started checking prices every morning at four of its resorts: Paleros and Aeolian Village and Lemnos in Greece, and Phokaia in Turkey.

The first week of data already answers the question most parents ask: how much more do the school holidays cost?

The short answer: at launch, a summer-holiday week for a family of four (two adults, two children, flights from Gatwick included) cost about £6,900 to £7,250. The same resorts in late June were £3,900 to £4,450. That is a premium of 60-80%. May half-term is even steeper: at Paleros and Lemnos it was priced almost double the week before.

Summer 2027: the school-holiday premium

These are the prices we saw on 21 July 2026 for seven nights, two adults and two children aged 7 and 10, including return flights from London Gatwick. Each resort has its own changeover day, so the dates differ slightly.

Three things stand out.

1. The peak is flat, not a spike. Once the English holidays start, the price sits on a plateau. At Aeolian Village every Wednesday from 21 July to 18 August was the same £7,119. There is no hidden quiet week in the middle of August.

2. The premium starts before English schools break up. Scottish schools break up in late June and Northern Irish schools by 1 July, and Mark Warner’s prices step up in the first week of July. Paleros jumps from £4,411 (27 June) to £6,109 (4 July). If you are in England and can travel before your school breaks up, that does not help much: early July is already priced as summer holiday.

3. The drop comes when the holiday ends. The departures that run into early September fall by £1,400 to £2,650. That is because they overlap the start of the autumn term in England (most schools go back around 1 September 2027). The last week that stays fully inside the holidays is only slightly lower than the peak.

May half-term: nearly double

May half-term 2027 is Monday 31 May to Friday 4 June in England and Wales. The week that covers it was the most extreme premium we found anywhere in our data:

Aeolian Village and Phokaia show a smaller jump because their changeover days (Wednesday and Tuesday) mean neither week lines up exactly with the half-term. The closer a resort’s week fits the holiday, the more of the premium it carries.

How this compares with Club Med

Mark Warner and Club Med are often on the same shortlist, but the prices are not like for like:

• Mark Warner prices include flights and transfers; meals are half board, and kids’ clubs are included.
• Club Med prices we track are for the resort only (no flights), and are all-inclusive.

Club Med had not released its full summer 2027 school-holiday weeks when we checked, so we will add a side-by-side comparison once both are on sale. In the meantime, our school holidays page shows every week we can price today.

When should you book Mark Warner for summer 2027?

It is too early to say from a single week of data, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can say:

• Book early if you need a particular room or flight time. Family rooms and Saturday flights at the start of the holidays are the first things to go on any summer holiday.
• Watch the price if you are flexible. We now check every departure every morning, so if a school-holiday week moves, we will see it. We are also tracking this summer (2026) right up to departure, and will publish what happened to prices in the final weeks once the holidays are over.
• If you are tied to May half-term, check the changeover day before comparing prices. Paleros, with a Sunday changeover, fits the half-term week exactly and carries the full premium. Resorts with other changeover days look lower partly because their weeks only overlap the holiday, so using them can mean taking days out of school.
